Actually broke down and purchased my first Apple product last week – an iPhone.
I must admit that I’m pretty impressed with the technology. One of the more impressive apps is one called AutoStitch which stitches together photos taken with the phone enabling you to produce some pretty good panoramas with the phone. Here are some photos I took at yesterday’s Spike’s baseball game.
The phone also take some pretty decent video. I decided to try out the video feature for the first time when one of the Spikes came up to bat in the eighth inning. I got pretty lucky as he hit the game winning home run.
And incredibly, I hear you can even make phone calls on this thing (although I haven’t tried that yet)
I hear it’s incredibly easy to post pix and vid (to youtube and such). Have you tried to post here directly from phone.
Also, curious if you looked into Android?
Yeah I submitted this video to YouTube right from the phone. I’m going to do some more playing around with video posting. One thing that I’m pretty sure that I DON’T want to do is actually host the video on this site. So far my sites haven’t put much of a strain on my hosting provider but I’m afraid if I were to post too much video that might change. But as long as the video is hosted on YouTube (or Facebook – like I did for the other two I took), I’ll be ok.
I can set this site up to take posts via email so that’s one thing that I could easily do, i.e. submit the video to YouTube then email the link to here.
I’m sitting in the stands at last night’s game when the Spikes load up the bases. It occurs to me that this might be another opportunity to get a good video so I reach into my pocket for my phone. As I’m pulling it out, first pitch = grand slam. I was seconds away from getting it.
