Veronica and Eric secretly purchased the two tickets to the Cubs game for our 20th anniversary a few weeks bag. It ends up it looks like today is going to be the day the Cubbies clinch. Even though I’m a Sox fan (can you tell which one of us gets more respect), I’m really looking forward to it. We’re leaving in just a little bit.Â
Hopefully, it’ll be as exciting as we anticipate. We’ll keep you updated.
Now that’s a great gift! And the Cubbies did it! Am I the only Cubs fan in the family? When we left Philly I didn’t want to betray the Phillies so I stuck with the National League. I guess you all felt you didn’t want to betray the Phillies on a higher level, so you moved to the American League (does that make sense?).
And more importantly, Happy Anniversary! Twenty years! OMG! I still think of you as the “baby” of the family. Guess I shouldn’t.
Ronnie and I were talking the other night trying to figure out when we were all last together. We think it was Gary’s wedding. How long ago was that, Gary? Are we going to finally have a reunion this Christams? Kenny has his reservatons made (Friday thru Tuesday, right Kenny?). Shannon does too. She’ll be here Christmas Eve thru Monday. Gary, Larry what’s up with your plans?
At any rate, again, Happy Anniversary, Ronnie & Mary Ann!
It ended up being a pretty exciting time, even though we had the world’s most obnoxious fan a few rows behind us. He ended up getting tossed about the 7th inning. It was pretty tense at the end as Kerry Wood managed to walk the lead off man in the 9th. After that, the place was rocking!
We’ll see how they do in the playoffs.
Ron, If Cubs & Sox end up in World Series, you gotta find a way to go. Great, great excitement when Yanks & Mets were in it. Second only to WS heroics or game 7’s that I’ve seen.
Not sure how we’re getting to Chi for Xmas. Airfares rather high ($1500-1600 for all 4). May actually drive, I don’t know….
