The Seat of Government

Took a trip to our nation’s capital. We stayed with friends that recently moved there (from Paris). Real good timing for the kids, having just studied MLK and Amelia Earhardt (went to Smithsonian), and given the fact that they are aware of the current elections

On Saturday we took a short hike along the Potomac.  Sunday we went to DC

(It seems if you click on an image you get a medium sized shot, click again for full-size.  Must be a new feature of the blog.  I uploaded a “gallery” and it’s behaving a bit differently.)

  1. Actually, depending on your browser, you might have to click on the photo one additional time to get to the highest res photo.

  2. Yes, that’s true, yet if you right-click on the 3rd one you will download the highest-rez.

  3. Beautiful pictures! I love the one with the cherry blossoms. Where was the one taken with the white buildings? Very pretty!

  4. Well, since you said “buildings” I assume you don’t mean the shot with the single big white house in the BG. The other is the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal (Potomac River) in Bethesda, MD.
