We went camping this weekend. Saturday night, we and 2 neighbor families camped in the Falls’ “Back 40”.
We had a talent show, s’mores, and ghost stories.

What a great idea…such fun for the kids! Hey, did you get any of the 17 year cicadas or are they only idigenous to this area?
Nope, they’re only midwest. We have our own broods here, but it’s not a big year.
The cicadas… Just another incident to remind me of how old I am. I was living in Chicago the last time the Midwest brood surfaced – it was quite impressive – but it sure doesn’t seem like 17 years ago.
